Phuket Aquarium
Phuket Aquarium in under control by the Phuket Marine Biological Center, the Department of Marine and Coastal Resources and the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment. The main propose is to provide knowledge about aquatic plant, freshwater animal including to another resources from the coast to the sea. And here is a place to spread the information in sea-science and another that concern.

When you walk to aquarium you will see varieties of fish that are very beautiful. There is a strange fish. Because it can see through in side its body. So you will see fish bone. But there is no name.

Walk along inside there are many kinds of shells and there are an explanation to describe you. They describe about the shells that live in different place can make them different too. Such as shells that live around sandy beach their shells will be quite circle and quite plain. But shells that live around rocky shore their shells will be rough and can open-close for protect to losing water.

Frog Shark |
Beside there are more strange fish such as Frog shark, Electric eel it can produce the electricity about 600 volts by itself. It uses for shelter from the enemy.

Then there are many colorful fish. They can make the atmosphere under world water so more complete. They are including to the exhibition about mangrove plant, seagrass, and coral on the wall for spread knowledge.

Before you get into the under world tunnel you will see a big cuttlefish. But sometime it hides at the corner of display box.

So when you get into an under world tunnel as same as you are diving under the big ocean. And seeing a variety of colorful fish move in the ocean and plant water that make more atmosphere complete.

The last display box I think this is a biggest fish of Phuket Aquarium. It is a giant Anabas testudineus (Pla mor). In the same box is also has White Sea bass.

Before you leave there are deep-water cuttlefish with pickled, crab pickled and mantis shrimp pickled. Outside there is a souvenirs shop for the visitors

Phuket Aquarium is located at Makam Bay, Cape Panwa. You will take for 1 hour from Phuket town. Admission is 50 baht for children and 100 baht for adult.

Moreover, Phuket Aquarium offers a "Feed the aquatic animals by diving" show at a tunnel of aquarium on Saturday and Sunday at 11.00 am.-11.30 am. Unfortunately! that the day was Friday but I have to see the wonderful show surely.
