Today, we will offer the story of Hut Record. They are musical group in Phuket.
We heard that they were the first musical company at Phuket.

They are interviewed by us at their Record Room. Hut Record is located near Thinan Intersection. There are five members at here; that is P’ Tou (Chaikamon Thongmee), Khun Tum (Krerksak Ruengjiradtian) Khun Yo (Yothin Thiamchan), Nong Jip (Thanikarn Kaewsang-on) and Khun Nok (Nittaya Yungyuen). After speaking with them just a little, we thought that they and their works are interesting.

Interviewer : Could you please tell us about the history of Hut Record?
Khun Yo : Hut Record is set by three music lovers that is P’Tau, P’Tum and me. The purpose of Hut Record is the place where a new generation can do musical activities. Besides, club for music, they want here to be the first step for music lovers to show their abilities. For example, singing, play instruments, composing a song and coordinate of albums. Later, Nong Jip and Khun Nok (Khun Ji) become new coordinators.
Interviewer : Could you tell me about your work?
Khun Yo : We have to organize the sound recording of singers, seeking and caring for singers, promoting singers’ concerts, musical adviser, selling tape, cassette, and CD of Local singers and Indies songs.
Khun Yo : Record Label is the indie company. We will make new albums, jingles and advertisement on the radio and compose a song.
Interviewer : Give me some information about seeking new singers, please.
Khun Yo : We are agencies to seek new singers and offer demos for many record companies. We are a singer- informational place and private manager for singers.
Interviewer : If whoever interests in musical career, he/she can apply here, Right?
Khun Yo : Yes, they can. We are like an agency to support them. We will organize the marketing plan by sending their songs to many radio stations and pubs.
พี่โต : Now, we and 90.5 Radio station cooperate in “A SERCH” project. Nong Trai is a competitor who wins this project. She sends us a demo. Then, we bring her to record songs at here. Suddenly, he plays Nong Trai’s song. Her song is melodious. He told me that 90.5 Radio Station would promote her songs.

Interviewer : Give me some information about Nong Trai’s album, please.
Khun Yo : Nong Trai will compose her songs by herself. P’Tum will arrange her songs’ melodies.้
Interviewer : How about concert that you do?
Khun Yo : We will set a concert for customer. We will organize everything in each concert, including advertisement.
Interviewer : What is the musical adviser?
Khun Yo : We will give everyone many musical advises. We are center of Buy and Sell shop for instruments.
Interviewer : Whose are these songs?
Khun Yo : These songs belong to us. We are collecting in our full album.
Interviewer : Do you compose many songs by yourself?
Khun Yo : Yes, we do, P’Tau controls about musical technique. P’Tum is producer and I organize marketing promotion and compose some songs.
Interviewer : Who does sing these songs?
Khun Yo : We have 7 singers to sing these songs such as Khun Nok (Nittaya), Khun Ji (Nannapat) and Nong Jip (Thanakan).

Interviewer : When can I hear this album’s songs?
Khun Yo : Coming soon. This is because the album nearly completes.
Interviewer : Do you have the marketing plan of this album?
Khun Yo : Now, there are big record companies contacting us. However, we think that we will start promoting this album at Phuket first.
Interviewer : Which other activity that would you like to do?
Khun Yo : For other activity, we think that we will cooperate with 90.5 ALOHA FM. Besides the Hut Record Festival, we will have the Open Microphone party. We will set musical Workshop and give society the help.
Interviewer : What is the long - term plan of Hut Record?
Khun Yo :I want Hut Record to become one famous musical company of Thailand. I would promote Hut Record around this country if it is possible.
Interviewer : Do you have any condition for new members?
Khun Yo : No conditions for new members. If you love music, you can enjoy at here. If you are able to sing songs, play instruments, compose songs and so on, you can join with us easily.
