The Green Man Pub & Restaurant, the best entertainment in the kingdom was established in May, 2001 by Mr. Howard Digby-Johns and his wife, Khun Poonpun as an owner. They told Phuketindex about from their beginning to the success in this time. So Mr. Howard say “We work for our life and continually develop The Green Man Pub & Restaurant to be the finest place for every people to relax and release their tension away then touch the real happiness in an ideal English pub in Phuket.”

Become an ideal English pub in Phuket
Mr. Howard holds a degree in hotel management and qualified accountant and bon viveur. He was admitted as a partner in Price Waterhouse in 1983, withdrew from the PricewaterhouseCoopers World Firm in 2001 but he remains a director of PricewaterhouseCoopers Development Associates.
Mr. Howard is from Devon but he has traveled around the world and he thought that “Phuket” is the best place for living and suitably enjoy himself for running one English pub and he want to be an ideal English pub in Phuket also.

The Green Man Pub & Restaurant, the best entertainment in the kingdom that is not far away from residence area and most of our customers are local residence as English, Aussie and Thai people. We serve for all family members in the different style from the other generally pub or restaurant in Phuket. Because at has an area for your kids and every kid shouldn’t miss on Mayday, Easter, Christmas, Halloween or any excited festival with many delicious menus & drinks. Especially for the time during every week we have a quiz night also.
The Green Man is among the most traditional English Country Pub names. The Green Man, he is a god of spring and summer. The Green man is nearly always depicted as a "foliate head," that is, a face made of leaves and vines. He is a relative of Bacchus, Dionysius, Pan, Okeanos and eventually of Vishnu and of Enki, the creator of Adam and the saviour of Noah.
The Green Man dies each year on the 5th of November (The Old English New Years Day). He is reborn on 1st May each year.

Mr. Howard added in marketing that there’s no any competition because The Green Man Pub & Restaurant supplies the genuine English gastronaut. The pub serves ambrosial English menus and Guinness (Black Bitter Beer) in the optimum English ambience and every corner provides the traditional English style and concept to every customer also.
“I want The Green Man Pub & Restaurant to be a place of relaxing and people can share their happiness each other here as well as can enjoy the party or any event at a pub & restaurant here” says the owner. A pub has a banquet for held the private events which contains 120 people both indoor and in the verdant garden. Furthermore, everyone can join the party and take place at an English pub to meet together.
