Pimchanok Jivavisitnont returned to Phuket, her hometown, with a degree of art from Assumption University and a wealth of property management experience. She bought her knowledge to manage Sabana Resort in position of Business Development.
Pim began her marketing career in one the biggest property in Patong, Phuket “I became a marketing executive for years, it made me stronger and I kept learning entire marketing area. There is a good organization to built me being in management way.” she recalls “It taught me a lot about how to direct people and tricks of negotiation, as such are quite importance skill to create myself more professional.”
All this led to Pim's being invited by her uncle, Mr. Bunlue Jivavisitnont, owner of Sabana resort, Novotel Coralia Phuket, Irawadee Property, and Noppakloa Gold Center . He offered her a good opportunity in Business Development position in Sabana Resort, Nai Harn Beach . Pim left the world of real estate to move to hospitality industry and become part of a vibrant community.
Pim's intention, after enter in business developer, is to bring Sabana Resort into a 3 star-international hotel in end of 2005. She always joins in travel mart both in aboard and domestic, mostly spends the time to visit travel agency and inspects international hotels, and create ideas to apply for Sabana. A public relations planning is one of her major responsibility “I do research every 6 months to searching what customer expect from us. And pick media, which is attracting our target group.”
Pim says she believes the big challenge for the hospitality business is to improve communication among travel agents. “We provide sales material to travel agency, is not just as in paper, I produce multimedia presentation put into the sales kit, which is a handful for travel agent to sale our room to the customer in virtual reality, also details of the commission offered, would be efficient.”
With her luck, she has been coached by the hotel general manager, who has a bulk of hospitality and marketing experience over 30 years. “She shows me some good idea over marketing strategy making, and she said I must brush up on communication skill before visit each travel agency, and we can get long-team affiliate.”
