Khun Kitti told us how it all began. “Last year, the province’s Treasury Office put this place on an auction for a long term rent, and under one condition; to turn it into a five-star restaurant only. Seeing a potential business opportunity, I didn’t hesitate to join the auction. Having worked in hotel business for some time I was rather confident that this business is not beyond my ability.” said Khun Kitti.
“I intended to turn Baan Klung Jinda into one of Phuket’s landmark by making it known for quality Thai cuisine in exotic atmosphere” he claimed.

“Phuket has enough proper service facilities to accommodate prime areas such as Bang Tao and Patong, but pitifully few in town. Therefore, I saw the opportunity to be the pioneer in this field. Being the first is also very important because the location for such business is very scarce and very much sought after here
We have heard that you oversaw this project from the beginning, is that so?
“Yes, starting from the design, I intended not to demolish the building but restore to its former glory instead. Furthermore any extension made must harmonize with the original structure. The interior renovation was another of my prime concern for I believe that people who dine out are not just looking for good food but an exclusive atmosphere as well.”

“The architect team then drafted with certain principles in mind, that is, the place must be light, spacious and airy, yet able to accommodate various functions. There are V.I.P. rooms on the second floor for group families or couples who wish to dine exclusively, or if you just need relaxing there is a great-looking bar with excellent bartender to suit your need. We also provide soothing live jazz for your perfect night. Therefore, when the project is done, I believe that 20 million Baht investment is well spent.”
