Khun Julaluk Khamphila or Khun Mam, the owner of EZ DÉCOR is an original resident from Pattaya and moved to Phuket since 1999. She started working as delivering accessories to gift shops situated in hotels for 3 years. Later, Khun Mam and Khun Jim, her husband wanted to run a business in Phuket. And originally Khun Jim worked about Furniture and handicrafts. Then, the fist furniture shop named Zee Zee Interior was founded in 2003 and had run for nearly 2 years. After that, the business was expanded to open another furniture shop called EZ DÉCOR. Both shops have different styles of products; Zee Zee Interior focuses on genuine wood furniture in Balinese style but EZ DÉCOR emphasizes in modern contemporary style. Our products are imported from Indonesia and some from Thailand. Also, we are able to create tailor made products but we have to consider if we can design and the quantity of order. Besides, we give suggestions about the materials for making furniture.

For the plan in the future, Khun Mam doesn’t know because it is necessary to see the situation and market in Phuket. Now Phuket is pretty quiet as well as there are overwhelming furniture shops and the market is highly competitive. Khun Mam added that she rarely had time to take care of her shops and presently she was happy with her both shops.

For Khun Mam’s principle in work, she said “I am happy with my work, I am doing many things and I like my job because I can meet a variety of clients and there are many challenging changes similar to house decoration. It is a great fun.”

For her ideal, that is her husband. “Firstly, I don’t know about furniture at all. My husband teaches me everything especially about furniture. I am taught to know which type of wood is used for what furniture. Therefore, my husband is always my prototype.” She informed.
