Khun Nok comes from Chainat province (in Central of Thailand). She has lived in Phuket for over 20 years, though. She tells about an inspiration to open a restaurant from her mother who is good at cooking and Khun Nok’s husband also likes eating and cooking.
Firstly, Khun Nok’s husband came in Phuket town. He was often sounding off about restaurant in Phuket town that it was hardly to find but at that time he had a restaurant at Patong himself. So that he had an idea that would have a restaurant in the heart of Phuket town and his friend told him on Dibuk Road was an excellent location because of there was bustling corner. He decided to ask for a house for rent on Dibuk Road.
Apparently, there was a house for Khun Nok but not for rent. Caused of this house was closed for long time since the past. But when Khun Nok has looked around the house, she rend suddenly while it was so old. A house used to be for a tin shop and tin mine employee’s residence. When the tin shops increased more and more, some were closed and employees gathered to be a company. This house had to close also.

After she bought that house, she had to refine every corner in the house both interior and exterior. Khun Nok named “Dibuk restaurant” because Dibuk is well-known for everyone not only Thai people but foreigner also.
Khun Nok tells that a restaurant is the one of difficult business for her such as bring the food feature, taste, ingredient to mix and match together, make customer prefer on it. Moreover, she is also responsible on buying ingredients, cooking and management by herself. This entire make Dibuk restaurant is full of quality and taste for maximum satisfaction of customer.
