Today, phuketindex team has an opportunity to interview Khun Phoom Sinla, the owner of Chaba restaurant, the luxury restaurant with a nice atmosphere and tasty & quality food. Khun Phoom Sinla told us about his restaurant background and how he commenced this business.
How do you start the restaurant business?
Twenty years ago, Khun Phoom Sinla worked for tourism business and started working in hotel restaurants until became F & B manager as well as had been a tour guide.
Ten years ago, Khun Phoom was really interested in the restaurant business because of his restaurant experience. After that, he turned to run his own business – Chaba Restaurant at Phuket Laguna Entrance.

Why do you select this location?
Khun Phoom informed “Previously, there was rarely restaurant in this are. Most clients were at the front of the beach. Sometimes, guests wanted to change to dine out.” The location of this restaurant differs from other front-beach restaurants. That is natural and comfortable. Located on the Phuket Laguna Entrance, the restaurant emphasizes in luxury, convenience, excellent service and standard equipment. It is cheaper than hotel restaurants. “Initially, there are 40 seats in our restaurant but now we have 160 seats for clients.” Khun Phoom added.

Party arrangement and outside catering with non restricted amount are provided. There is a wide selection of both Thai and European menus – buffet and cocktail. Customers’ favourite dishes are Tom Yum Kung (Spicy shrimp soup) and Tom Kha Kai (Chicken soup with coconut milk). Khun Phoom explained “Since client’s the first step, they must be impressed with our good reception.” Additionally, every dish is fresh, clean and yummy. Most of our guests are high-class and need the same standard service as in the hotel. Chaba restaurant serves original Thai recipes that please all guests. Our food is different from other restaurants where adapt Thai food for foreigners. On the contrary, Thai food here keeps the uniqueness, no adaptation. Apart from the service, the location is meticulously designed with lagoon, water and Verdant Mountain views surrounded by hospitable atmosphere. Also, we offer clients transfer service making them more convenient.

The majority of clients are tourists staying at and around Laguna area. For the marketing plan, Khun Phoom contacts with Taxi drivers and hotels. “Sometimes, guests want to dine outside not too far away from their stays” He cited.
Lastly, Khun Phoom concluded “Our restaurant serves tasty cuisine and transfer service. We take care of everything for customers. On Saturday and Sunday, we offer you Live Football Premier League and every match of World Rugby by the projector too. As well as, you can enjoy live music everyday during 07.30 p.m. – 11.00 p.m.”
