Bob Andrews is the Managing Director of Phuket LandSearch Ltd, Property Agents and Consultants. Phuket LandSearch Ltd is a part of the Phuket Land group of companies , which has been involved in development and marketing of prime residential properties in Phuket since the first days of the growth of the island as a resort destination in the early 80's.

After 25 years working in the financial markets, in Japan and Europe , Bob joined up with William Pinsent, the founder of Phuket Land , three years ago. William stayed with the development side and Bob takes care of the agency and consultation side of the business.
Bob is very bullish about the future of the property market here in Phuket. "There are several unique factors with regard to the market here" he says.

"Firstly, there has been no financing available for foreigners. Look at any other property market in the world and try to imagine it without funding, catastrophe. Here we have market that is growing exponentially with no funding being available. As it arrives the market is gong to explode."

Bob is actively looking at how financing can be brought on, his previous experience in the financial markets obviously of benefit in this regard. He launched the "Blue Book' which has met with rave reviews. The first, and only, property magazine dedicated to property here in Phuket and it has a lot of information contained within it, regarding the do's and don'ts of buying property here.

When asked where the future lies for him and Phuket LandSearch, "Obviously expansion, currently here in Phuket but in the near future we may move into other areas of Thailand ." His other main focus is in assisting in the setting up of an "Association of Agents". This is in the process of being created. Lots of the other agents on the island have expressed their willingness to join and we look forward to creating a body that will be of benefit to both foreign buyers and also Phuket"
