K. Atiwut is originally from Had Yai District of Songkla Province. After he finished High school in Had Yai, K. Atiwut had a chance to continue his studies in The United States majoring in Electrical Engineering at The University of Texas in El Paso. After obtaining a bachelor degree and returning to Thailand he started his career in Bangkok with a Foreign Company. Not long after that K. Study in real estate business
After 2 years in the computer business, K. Atiwut realised that he would prefer to create his own product rather than being an agent. Hence, he started to study in real estate business and went back to The United States to obtain a degree in Administration Property Management. He also took courses in Professional Design and Life Construction Development Management (LCDM), marketing for Residential Building by NAHB, and Project Management at the University of California.

Kalita Project

Becoming a real estate developer
Once having the appropriate qualifications he returned to Thailand and established New Port Land & Development Company Limited. His initial project was named “Patio Village”, in the area near Prince of Songkla University, Had Yai Campus. The project offers a unique living environment to the customer as the name suggests “Like No Other.” The development was sold out before the project had been completed. He now has a swag full of property management experience since the Patio Village project and projects keep running, one after another.

Kalita Project

Kalita at Rawai Coast
New Port Land has expanded its business into Phuket since gaining the opportunity to purchase a nice piece of land that is located in a place to relax and enjoy the very best that life has to offer. This residence rests on the hillside overlooking the Andaman Sea, near a number of luxurious spas and restaurants, including the 5-star 'Mangosteen Resort & Spa.' It is also close to the city yet "ensures privacy and serenity," says K. Atiwut.

“Western housing style has had some influence on Kalita” Atiwut explains, “My first step for this project was to define and analyze marketing. I gathered data when studying in property management in the United States. I scouted around Las Vegas and California and collected architectural details.” Atiwut applied what he has seen to meet his customer needs and blending some Western ideas with designs that suite the tropical climate of South East Asia.

Atiwut adds, “There are plenty of Thai and Balinese style residences spread around the island. I think the customer wants something different. Hence I launched Kalita in Western style yet it is surrounded by Oriental ambience. The owner can have the benefit of Western standards and enjoy Thai culture and life style in one place.”

Sea View

The Kalita Concept
Kalita sits in a gorgeous environment with an uninterrupted sea-view. The estate allows only 7 privileged-families to purchase. There are 2 styles of living; 'Santa Margarita' and 'La Jolla.'

Atiwut drafted each plan to look bright and airy then submitted the concept to the architectural and engineering team. The “Santa Margarita” style offers comfortable, easy living with 5 or 7 bedrooms, large kitchen, formal dining room, spacious living room, Library/Study or fitness area and swimming pool with Sala.

The 'La Jolla' type rests in land approximately 440 Square Meters, has a 2-car Garage, up to 6 Bedrooms or 5 Bedrooms Plus an Optional Room with Four and One-Half Baths. The customer will enjoy cooking in a Gourmet Kitchen with Walk-In Pantry. All family members can take a rest in the Library or Study Loft or relax in the Over- Flow Swimming Pool with Sala.

All concepts for Kalita that Atiwut designed are to ensure quality residential atmosphere. The development will be completed by the end of year 2006.

The Vision
New Port Land vision is to help improve the quality of life by providing a better place in which to live or work. By carrying out this vision, they want to be recognized by customers and employees as one of the best property developers in the region that provide value for all.

The Mission
As property developers, New Port Land wants to deliver value for money, a quality product and provide outstanding service. New Port Land has great confidence that they can do better than others.

As K. Atiwut's business provides a sense of honesty and integrity, it is destined to go far.
