Child Sponsorship - Thailand

Due to sustainable development through child sponsorship and improved lives of poor children, families and communities in the project areas where WVFT operates, their grateful words bear witness to your kind support

Child sponsorship does not only give things or funds, but it also focuses on sustainable development by providing children with education, families with livelihood skills training to earn enough income and be self-reliant, as well as quality life development, good moral values and a stable community that is warm and pleasant to live for the children

Where are they now?

Dr. Chalermpon Kanchanawarin (Arjan Tik)
Lecturer, Physics Department,
Faculty of Science,
Kasetsart University

"Arjarn Tik’s family used to sell pickled fruits in Bonkai community, Bangkok. He was a sponsored child from grade 5 until high school. Later Ajarn Tik won a government scholarship to study for his Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Physics at Oxford University, England and PhD in Theoretical Biophysics at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, USA "

Nittaya Sansuk (teacher Jeab)
Grade 1 home room teacher,
Baanponngam School, Roi-et

"Jeab was born in a poor rice farming family. Her parents understood their child well and instill a love to study into her life. She often had questions about a school, including studies, books and friends. Jeab was a diligent and intelligent student. She became the president of the students’ council and received many awards for her good grades both in and outside the school. eab became a sponsored child when she was studying in grade 1 until she completed her Bachelor’s Degree in the Faculty of Education, Department of English at Mahasarakham Rajabhat University."

Dr.Jariya Prisiri (Dr. Nueng),
Female doctor based in Nan Hospital

"Dr.Jariya or Dr.Nueng was accepted as WVFT’s sponsored child since she was in Grade 2. Dr.Nueng's family was poor. Even though her father was a concrete worker and her mother a vendor, their income was never quite certain each month. When she was a child, she had to either walk or ride her bicycle to school every day.Even though she does not earn as much income as in a private hospital, Dr.Nueng enjoys what she is doing. Money is not the most important thing for her as a doctor. What she wants the most is to be able to care for the sick and see them be restored to good physical health."
