The dialing code for Thailand is 66 and for Phuket is 076, followed by a 6-digit number. For example, Phuketindex.com's telephone number is 076 xxx xxx. If you are dialing from outside the Thailand to local area number, dial the international access code from the country you are calling from, then the Thailand code, 66, then the full destination number omitting the initial '0' from the local code.

For example: 011 + 66 + 76 xxx xxx
But if you are dialing from outside Thailand to mobile phone number, first dial the international access code from the country you are calling from, then Thailand code; 66, followed by full mobile phone number omitting the initial ‘0’ as 8x xxx xxxx for example.

For example: 001 + 66 + 8x xxx xxxx

To dial abroad from the Phuket first dial, '001'/‘007’ (direct dial system) or, ‘008’/‘009’ (for VoIP system), the international access code, then the country code followed by the local code.

Even though, you may need to ask your telephone service provider to confirm if they can activate international roaming on your mobile phone.

However, the costs of using roaming in Thailand are considerately high. It may not a good idea for those who want to stay longer than a couple of week.

For those who want to bring your telephone and plan to use it here you have to check whether your mobile phone is locked for another rival network or not.
