| His Majesty King Carl XVI Gustaf and Her Majesty Queen Silvia from Sweden and HRH Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck from Kingdom of Bhutan, the royal visitors in King Rama IX proceed Phuket afterward took part in the royal ceremony in occasion of the Sixtieth Anniversary Celebrations of His Majesty's Accession to the Throne in during 11-14 June 2006.
His Majesty King Carl XVI Gustaf and Her Majesty Queen Silvia from Sweden have arrived on 14th June 2006 in the afternoon and Phuket governor, Mr. Udomsak Asawarangkul with Phuket Provincial chief officers and M.L. Tritosathep Tewakul, the owner of Tri Sala hotel offer welcoming. And Sweden royal visitors stay at Tri Sala hotel also.
Phuket governor, Mr. Udomsak reveals that although the king from Sweden would like to visit Phuket privately but Phuket has to welcome with appropriately. Especially we operated with police, marine police and navy sailors to work strictly on security in according time. Now there’s no any program but only know the Sweden royal visitors will get on a yacht for water sport and travel around Phang-nga Bay. So they will get on a yacht on 15 June 2006 at Boat Lagoon Pier. And another activity may be to visit Baan Nam Kem, Takuapa, Phang-nga to follow his Tsunami victims helping project since 2 years ago.
Mr. Udomsak adds after cooperate with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs that on nearly 19th June is an 30th wedding anniversary. Phuket will participate in blessing on this auspicious. So that they will go back Sweden in the late morning of 20 June 2006 and inform to take leave to His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej and Her Majesty Queen Sirikit. At midnight of same day, HRH Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck the royal visitor from Kingdom of Bhutan will reach Phuket on 16 June 2006 in the morning and use a same line to Amanburi hotel, Cheung Ta Le, Thalang district.
The Prince of Bhutan favorites in acrobatic sport caused of he is 26 years old. He likes to play parasailing so Phuket will prepare a place for this activity at Patong Beach. However if there is a big wave or a strong wind, it will affect in security after that we will recommend to play at Koh Khai in the east of Phuket island.
