| Mr. Sathorn Likkhachai, Director of Phuket Wittayalai School, said that the school was the provincial school and the extra large high school with 5 buildings and 3, 180 students. There were only 66 classrooms which were not enough to a large number of students. We lacked extra learning room. Moreover, the aids building “Lerspokaruk” which was constructed in 1957 was too damaging to use.
He added therefore, the basic educational committee of the school, the Association of Parents and Teachers, Phuket Wittayalai School Alumni Association, Educational Association of Phuket Alumni, Phuket Wittayalai Educational Association, the Parents Committee of Phuket Wittayalai, all teacher of this school and all Phuket Wittayalai Alumni agreed that we should make money to build the educational building in order to solve the problem about lacking classrooms. We considered the activity of presenting robes to Buddhist monks was the best choice. The activity was name “Thodphapasamacki 109 pee Phuket Wittayalai”. Each robes cost 1, 000 Baht. Pra Prommungkalacharn (Luangpo Panyanantapikku), abbot of Cholprathanrungsarit Temple, Pakkred, Nonthaburi, was the religious president. He would give a sermon and offer robes for Prathep Pariyatmetee, vice abbot of Cholprathanrungsarit Temple, and 17 monk deans. The laity chairman was Mr. Siwa Saengmanee, ex-director-general of Department of Local Administration. We invited all of them to support the activity.
