| On 6th June 2006, 10.00 Am., Phuket Provincial City Hall, Mr. Udomsak Assawarangkul, Phuket governor and Mr. Thanathip Upattising, Vice-Director general of Department of International Economic, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Kingdom of Thailand have conferred with all concerned official units for prepare the royal visitors welcoming in Phuket.
“The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Kingdom of Thailand has cooperated that will have royal visitors from two countries: His Majesty King Carl XVI Gustaf and Her Majesty Queen Silvia from Sweden and H.H. Shaikh Hamad Bin Khalifa Al-Thani and princess consort from Qatar call on Phuket privately so they will arrive Phuket on 14th June after joint with the royal ceremony in occasion of the Sixtieth Anniversary Celebrations of His Majesty's Accession to the Throne in during 11-14 June 2006, Bangkok.” Mr. Udomsak says.
For the royals of Sweden have confirmed to come for visit in 14-20 June while royals of Qatar still no detail.
In during of visiting Phuket, the royals of Sweden will stay at Tri Sara hotel Phuket in a villa of their comrade. So on 15th June, they will get on a yacht at Boat Lagoon Pier for travel around the islands in Phuket and Phang-nga.
Besides, the royals of Sweden will visit Radi Medical System Co.,Ltd. at Paklok, Thalang. This company is a place that Swedish have invested and manufacture prosthetic valve and high-class medical devices. Bann Nam Kem, Takuapa at Phang-nga that they visited in the end of 2004 after the big wave, Tsunami and gave some his asset to construct Bann Nam Kem school. The royal of Sweden is a world scout patron and International Wild Animal Preservation fund. So a Phuket governor reiterates all of the Phuket Provincial scouting concerned official units and Khao Pra Taew(wildlife conservation) for prepare to welcoming of the royal visitors.
Phuket governor said that in visiting is a special occasion for the royals of Sweden. Because on 19th June is a married anniversary of 30th so Phuket Provincial has prepared for this celebration. And may be invited Swedish in Phuket to join with the Sweden’s royal in the night of 16th June also.
