| The quadrangular tournament involving three English Premiership clubs and Thailand's SEA Games team scheduled in July may be moved from Bangkok to Phuket.
Featuring Everton, Bolton and Manchester City, the matches were originally to be held in Bangkok July 20-23 but the Ministry of Tourism wants them to be played in the South as part of the project to promote areas affected by the tsunami.
A meeting was held yesterday at the Radisson hotel between FA Premier League director of rights and benefits, Brian Phillcotts, the chairman of Travel Management Group, Ian Dunwoody and secretary general of the FAT, Worawi Makudi.
The official from England had come out to inspect the stadiums and hotel accommodation.
"The match may move to the South in Phuket as the Ministry of Tourism would like major events to be held in the South,'' Worawi said.
FA officials will inspect the southern stadiums to see if they are suitable.
The event will also feature referees and linesmen from the Premiership. "The two referees will be familiar faces to Thai fans of the Premiership,'' Worawi said.
He said it was possible the Thai SEA Games team may still go to England for a brief tour later in the summer.
He said the visiting English FA management team were keen to help football development in Thailand. "They are particularly interested in giving advice on setting up a proper Thailand football league,'' Worawi said.
